HOW TO USE A GUA SHA STONE?

1. Skin Preparation:
   • Before you start using your Gua Sha stone, make sure your skin is clean. Then apply oil or serum to ensure the stone glides smoothly over the skin and minimise the risk of irritation.
2. How to Hold a Stone:
   • The Gua Sha stone has different edges to suit different parts of the body. When using, hold the stone at a slight angle (approximately 15-45 degrees) to the skin.
3. Massage Technique:
   • Face: Start in the center of the face and work outward toward the hairline. Use gentle, smooth motions, especially around delicate areas like eyes.
   • Body: Perform body massage much more intensively than facial massage. The movements should be long and fluid, usually directed towards the heart, which promotes circulation.
4. Frequency and Duration:
   • Gua Sha massage can be performed daily, but it should not last longer than a few minutes for one part of the body.
5. After the Massage:
   • After completing the massage, cleanse the skin and apply an appropriate cream or lotion. After use, also wash the stone with warm water and mild soap and dry thoroughly.
6. Storage:
   • Store your Gua Sha Stone in a dry place, preferably in a soft case to avoid scratching or damage.
